  6. ½ roll TP with center removed in plastic bag & Bic lighter
  7. 1 Quart water bottle with Gray tape wrapped around it 6 times.
  8. 50’ parachute cord

  12. 1 Adventure survival sleeping bag – These are about $25 dollars, but they are much better and warmer than the cheap ones.

  16. 1 Emergency wire saw – kind of useless, but works as a snare
  17. 2 Spring loaded fishing snares – these work well
  18. 6 assorted Thompson snares – these work well, you have to set up several of them.  It is unrealistic to depend on just one.
  19. 1 gill net
  20. Ό lb. Pinole – dried sweet corn ground into cornmeal.  Will last a long time.
  21. 50 capsules cayenne pepper – used for self defense, I make my own, especially if you can get it into the eyes or nose.
  22. 50 capsules charcoal – used for food poisoning and water purification.
  23. 1 MX990 flashlight with fire starter in handle – Quadruple 0 steel wool stored in extra light bulb compartment, for fire starter.
  24. 1 small bottle VIC’s Vaporub – works well around the wrist and ankle to prevent ticks and other bugs from crawling up your legs.
  25. 1 Gerber mini axe with sponge in handle – sponge is used to soak up dew early in the morning
  26. 1 spring loaded punch – various uses
  27. 1 pair paramedic scissors – strong enough to cut through heavy material
  28. 1 large knife – I carry a Bushmaster
  29. 1 small file – to sharpen axe and knife
  30. 1 small compass – fits on watch band
  31. 1 metal mirror – for signaling
  32. 1 expedition sewing kit
  33. 1 package dental floss – can be used as wax coated thread for repairs
  34. 1 MRE TP – fire starter
  35. 1 plastic emergency whistle – doesn’t burn your lips in the summer or freeze to your lips in winter.

  38. 1 roll orange marker tape – for marking trail
  39. 1 knife steel, small – for keeping your knife sharp
  40. 1 stainless steel cup – can be put directly on the fire to boil water or melt snow.
